Privacy policy
This policy explains what information TechNova Logistics LLC ("TechNova", "we") collects through this website and through our field-operations app used by drivers and crews (the "Crew app"), why we collect it, and the choices you have.
The short version. The Crew app records your location only while you are clocked in, and stops when you clock out. We use your information to run the job, pay you correctly and keep trucks safe. We do not sell your information.
Who this applies to
The website is public. The Crew app is not a consumer app: it is used by our own drivers and crew members, and by the crews of companies that use our software for their own operations. When a company uses our software for its crews, that company decides what is collected about its workers and is responsible for that information; we process it on their behalf.
Information we collect
- Account information: your name, phone number, email, role (for example driver, foreman, helper) and the company you work for.
- Time records: clock-in, clock-out and break times, and any corrections made by the office together with who made them and why.
- Location: when you clock in, start or end a break, or clock out, we record one location point. While you are clocked in, the Crew app may also record your location in the background at intervals, including when the app is closed or the screen is off, to confirm arrival at and departure from job addresses. Location recording stops when you clock out.
- Photos, documents and signatures you take or collect in the app, such as job photos, vehicle inspection photos and customer signatures.
- Vehicle inspection answers, such as pre-trip checklist results and odometer readings.
- Device information: device model, operating system, app version and error reports, used to keep the app working.
- Website: standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested). We do not use advertising trackers on this website.
How we use it
- to record hours worked and pay you correctly;
- to dispatch work, confirm arrival at job addresses and keep customers informed;
- to meet safety and regulatory duties, including vehicle inspections and record keeping required for motor carriers;
- to document the condition of goods and property and to handle claims;
- to keep the service secure and fix problems.
Sharing
We do not sell personal information and we do not share location data for advertising. We share information only:
- with the company you work for, if it uses our software;
- with service providers that host and operate our systems (for example cloud hosting, encrypted backup, maps, and text-message or email delivery), under contracts that limit their use of the data;
- when required by law, regulators or a valid legal request, or to protect people's safety or legal rights.
How long we keep it
- Time records: at least three years, as Washington employment law requires.
- Background location points: up to 90 days, unless they are needed for a specific claim, dispute or legal requirement.
- Job photos, inspection records and signatures: as long as the related job, claim or regulatory record must be kept.
Your choices
- You can turn off location, camera or notification permissions in your phone's settings at any time. Some features (such as automatic arrival at a job) will not work without them; you can still clock in, and the office can record your time manually.
- You can ask to see, correct or delete your information by writing to info@technovaguard.com. Some records, such as time records and safety records, must be kept for the periods the law requires.
Security
Information is sent over encrypted connections, stored on access-controlled servers, and backed up in encrypted form. Time records cannot be silently changed: every correction is kept with the name of the person who made it and the reason.
Children
The Crew app is for working adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the effective date above and, for material changes, notify app users in the app.
